Day 01 Elephant Orphanage – Sigiriya
Arrival and meet our representative at the airport and proceed to Sigiriya via Elephant orphanage, Pinnawala. Overnight stay in Sigiriya.
A visit to this fantastic Elephant orphanage near Kegalle is a must! 20 km (12 miles) west of Kandy on the Colombo Highway, this is where young orphaned or abandoned elephants are cared for. The herd numbers are usually around 50, from tiny infants (tiny in elephant terms, that is) to hefty adolescents and young adults.
Day 02 Sigiriya – Minneriya Safari
After breakfast climb Sigiriya rock. Evening safari at Minneriya National Park
Sigiriya Rock – Sigiriya Rock Fortress is situated in the north central province belong to the “Cultural Triangle” in the dry lowlands of Sri Lanka. Sigiriya Rock known as Lion’s Rock and considered by some as the eighth Wonder of the World. Sigiriya contains the ruins of an ancient palace complex. Built during the reign
of King Kasyapa (477-495 AD). On the west of the rock are ponds the remains of summer palaces and other structures, and the first part of the ancient road, which lead to its impressive summit.
Day 03 Dambulla – Kandy
After breakfast proceed to Dambulla Rock Cave Temples, Herbal Spice Garden, Kandy Tooth Relic Temple and view the Cultural Dance Show. Dinner and overnight stay at hotel in Kandy.
Day 04 Nuwara Eliya
After breakfast visit Botanical Garden Peradeniya and city tour in Kandy. Then proceed to Nuwara Eliya for one night.
Peradeniya Botanical Garden- This is a much visited and acclaimed botanical garden, which is also good for birds. It is bounded on three sides by the Mahaveli River, which I snakes around the 60- hectare gardens. Before its use as Botanical gardens it had served as a royal pleasure garden. Peradeniya is the second largest botanical garden in Asia.
Kandy city – Kandy is the English name for the city of Maha Nuvara (Senkadagalapura) in the centre of Sri Lanka. It lies in the midst of hills in the Kandy plateau, which crosses an area of tropical plantations, mainly tea. Kandy is one of the most scenic cities in Sri Lanka; it is both an administrative and religious city.
Day 05 Horton Plains
After breakfast proceed to World’s End at Horton Plains. Nature walk at Horton Plains. If you go early morning you will be able to see Wild Boars and Sambas. Wild Orchids, rare species of birds and flora and fauna are found in the forest. Dinner and overnight stay at Nuwara Eliya.
Day 06 Negombo
After breakfast proceed to Negombo via Hatton. Overnight stay at Negombo.
Day 07 Negombo (Beach stay)
Beach stay at Negombo
Accommodation- Paradise Beach Hotel or Similar
Day 08 Airport
Drop off at the airport for departure flight.
